PMI simplifies most of the project management terminologies and which can be used across industries. Some projects managers will come out of their own few techniques with some ethics and values. Some techniques are process oriented, task oriented. some techniques person oriented. According to PMI, The five process groups are:

Controlling and Monitoring, and
Closing.
